Club Racing

Llandudno’s race programme includes a number of single race trophies and trophies that are competed for over a series of races . There are also trophies for special categories such as Club Champion, Junior Club Champion, Capsize Cup etc.

Sunday Racing: Easter to October.
Wednesday Evening Racing: May to August.

The Fleet
Racing is based on Portsmouth Yardstick Numbers; with a wide range of dinghy classes competing. There is a strong fleet of Lasers, Supernova’s, Solutions, and GP14’s with RS Teras, RS Fevas & Topper dinghies regularly competing.

Sailing Instructions & Courses.

Llandudno Sailing Club racing is run on an average lap time basis open to all classes, with a wide variety of dinghies participating.

Club Social Sailing

In addition to the racing sessions the club has open sailing evenings where members can simply sail. Sail their own boats, sail/try other members boats for size.

We have a safety boat out to cover these sessions and often organise a coach to help members with specific upskill areas they want to look at.

These sessions are normally Friday evenings and Sunday afternoon ….. in warmer weather…
