GP14’s @ Llandudno 11/12 July
The first major class event at Llandudno to use the new slipway was a great success. A big thanks to all club members that participated and all those that gave of their time to make it a success. “Gareth Roberts……”
Comment from the GP14 Class President
Thank you for the great welcome and very efficiently organising the GP14 Welsh Area Championships at the weekend.
Please pass on the same to Gareth your Commodore, Paul the Race Officer, Ladies in the galley for the excellent much needed food and all the other volunteers on and off the water who made the weekend flow seamlessly in spite of the wayward pin end in the strong current (hope remembered names right).
Mention must also be made to the excellent and unique prizes presented, including the new trophy in memory of Andy McNamara presented to the last race winner on first day (Richard Instone), I understand the large cup will reside at Llandudno SC and smaller replica will be presented as a keeper to the winner. I believe it was said there is a small stock available for future GP14 Welsh Championships – Kit please confirm the arrangements?
Finally a personal note to add if it is possible I thoroughly enjoyed the ‘Washing Machine’ experience on Saturday, Sunday was thankfully slightly tamer more a rinse cycle.
Reiterate our gratitude for an excellent weekend Thank You
